Not all dangers to your pet are easy to spot.
A family recently came to us after they'd noticed their pup was obsessively itching his ears and shaking his head. After a quick investigation we found the culprit; ear mites.
This creepy little creature is a microscopic parasite that feeds on the wax and oils in your pet's ears. They're mostly transferred from animal to animal, and it can be hard to notice the signs of an infestation unless you know what to look for. Ear mites can cause irritation in and around the ears, waxy ear discharge, and can lead to an ear infection if not treated.
If your pet is showing any of the above symptoms, please give us a call and make an appointment with our team to investigate the issue and find the best course of treatment.
